The graduated compression pressure of 20-30mmHg not only offers shape, but is a great way to improve circulation and blood flow. Graduated compression works by having a tighter pressure woven into the fabric that gradually lessons as it moves up from the ankles and calves towards the waist of the garment. The extra compression at the bottom helps to move the circulating blood up towards the heart in a more efficient manner. The increased blood flow and better circulation creates many health benefits. They include relief from tired and achy legs, swollen legs and feet, varicose and spider veins, and relief from discomfort during pregnancy. I love these leggings so much I got a second pair I love these leggings so much I got a second pair. The graduated compression has really helped to reduce the symptoms of my Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), and allowed me to work harder in physical therapy. My heart rate used to go up to 160bpm after 10 minutes on the recumbent bike, but wearing my leggings keeps my heart rate down to a much more comfortable 105bpm.Getting into them was a workout on its own. The graduated compression makes them tighter at the ankles, so getting them on is a challenge at first, but once they’re past the knees it isn’t any worse than strong control top pantyhose. Going to the bathroom is kinda a pain, though. You need space to squirm around so the crotch is pulled all the way up. Lol Also, I am cartoonishly curvey and found these fit just fine. The sizing chart was pretty spot on.The only drawbacks to these, and the reason why I gave it 4 stars, is that they’re very long! I’m only 5’1″ and I have to wear these…

like I said I’m having issues with swelling. I thought these would help. I think that they do, but….1. What’s up with the crotch? It falls down constantly and they’re tight, so to pull them up it’s a pain in the rear.2. I bought XL because baby got back and even though I wear size 12 pants, I do have big calves and, like I said, a booty– they’re tight and I think they would work if the waist were a bit taller than it is.3. They’re hot under clothes– I’m always cold, but I couldn’t imagine wearing these when it’s warm under anything.4. They’re very long- not suitable for someone of my height- 5’4″ tall. I left the bottom part on my foot because pulling them up to my ankle made them feel much too restrictively tight.Does anyone make something like this that is high waisted? That might help them stay put better.

Good quality, great price Having been recently diagnosed with veinous insufficiency and told that I needed to wear compression tights for the next 3 months, I ordered one pair of full pantyhose from the doctor’s office for $175! I knew that 1) one pair would not be enough; 2) it’s blazing hot here during the summer months and I wanted to wear flip flops; and 3) there had to be less expensive options. I scoured the internet looking for anything and everything with 20-30mmHg compression. I think I’ve ordered one pair of every possible brand, and honestly – these are the best. I have them on right now! It’s still beastly hot, but bearable now that I get to wear my flip flops (and look quite fashionable with a tunic t-shirt). I will definitely be ordering more of these!
