The Benefits of Compression Sleeves

Are you looking for faster recovery, support and improved performance? If you are an athlete or not, compression sleeves can put a little more glide in your stride. Feel fresher and be more active by boosting blood circulation and flow. Compression technology in these socks can aid in the faster recovery due to the better blood flow that they can create. The built in graduated measure is 20-30mmHg which is the perfect pressure to pump up your circulation from the bottom of the foot to your heart. Increased and improved blood circulation has many health benefits. Compression socks are designed with more pressure at the ankle and foot and gradually declining  as they go up the leg. This acts kind of like an elevator that can assist in better blood flow from the foot to the heart. Increased circulation allows oxygen and nutrients to flow efficiently and end up in cells where they are needed. Athletes and others can prevent injuries and have the ability to recover faster with increased circulation and flow.

Who Should Use Compression Socks?

Compression socks are effective and beneficial in many ways and for many activities. The fabric is advanced and breathable and is great for cooling in hot weather and keeping the muscles warmer in colder conditions. Anybody that has a job that involves standing all day like nursing and hospitality can benefit. Prevent soreness, achy feet and swollen ankles if you stand or sit in one position all day. Compression socks like these Doc Miller’s are the perfect grade of compression for travel. Sitting on a plane or in a car for hours without moving is not great for your circulation and can cause problems like DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis). Wearing compression sleeves during travel can keep that blood flowing when you don’t have the ability to be active.

Shin splints, calf pain, inflammation, leg pain and soreness? Battle them with something that you do anyway……wear socks. Give yourself a fighting chance and boost your recovery time from injuries with something as simple as wearing compression socks. Some studies have shown that compression therapy can accelerate recovery from soft-tissue injuries like tendinitis and also reduce the severity and soreness after a tough workout or run.

The Doc Miller Calf Compression Sleeves come in a number of colors and sizes for both men and women.

Great product, I had leg vein problems and swelling … Great product, I had leg vein problems and swelling issues, tried many expensive and different compression socks, for me these work great, feel naked with out them on, put them on first thing in the morning and take them off when I go to bed, not supposed to wear them when laying down, very good compression, Great price bought two more pair.

The right fit! The first compression sleeve that I tried was a different brand. They didn’t work for me because the ankle portion fit was loose while the calf portion was acceptable. My calf fits the usual Medium size measurement, but my ankles are skinny and fit the Small size measurement. The Doc Miller taper design is perfect for my lower leg profile, there is compression from the top to the bottom of the sleeve. The typical sleeve measurement table takes only the calf circumference measurement into account and not the ankle circumference. You need to consider this as you shop the various choices, but if you are buying for the first time this will be a challenge to get the right fit.
